Paradise Tango Studio Space
Our studio space is available for one time event rentals, one time rehearsal
rentals or for long term weekly or more frequent classes. We strive to
provide an affordable dance space rental option to the Oahu dance community.
Amenities include:
- 850 sq ft (total, including check-in, restroom and storage)
- New laminated wooden floors
- New state-of-the-art Glassless Mirrors
- Restroom
- Ballet Barres (two 5 ft, free standing)
- Water cooler (hot and cold water)
- Check-in desk
- Multiple Fans and two AC units
- Decorative Lightning (Battery operated candles, running lights, and
street lamp)
- Street-level advertising for repeat or long term classes
Location
We are located at 150 N. King Street. Suite #202 next to the Kekaulike
Pedestrian Mall. We are located above the Noodle Factory in a brick building
with blue window frames.
Parking
There are several municipal parking lots or parking structures near by,
one lot directly on Nimitz Hwy after Kekaulike St next to another parking
structure. They are noted on the map and there are street signs to guide
visitors to these parking lots. They are typically $1.50 per hour or $10
all day. Street meters are also $1.50 per hour. After 6 pm streets other
than King Street are FREE. After 6:30 pm King Street parking is FREE,
even right in front of the studio space.
Studio Rental Availability
The studio is available for rental use most days before 6 pm except on
Sunday. To reserve the studio for one-time or repeated events or classes
it is necessary to call Jenny at 831-239-6529 to check that the dates
and times are available. Private events are not noted on the Paradise
Tango monthly calendar. Studio space availability is listed below:
Monday:
9:30 am - 10:00 pm (availability varies,
alternate Mondays have 7-10 reserved)
Tuesday: 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
Wednesday: 9:30 am - 5:30 pm
Thursday: 9:30 am - 6:00 pm
and 9:00 pm- Midnight
Friday: 9:30 am - 10:00 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am - 10:00 pm
(availability varies, Never available 3rd saturdays from 4 pm to midnight)
Sunday: 8:00 am - 10:00 am and
8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Rental Process

to discuss your usage of the dance studio space and to confirm the availability
of the dates you are interested in. Once you have spoken with Jenny you
need to complete a Rental Agreement which can be downloaded here. The
document needs to be emailed, mailed or dropped off to Jenny prior to
the start of your event.

RENTAL AGREEMENT
For events less than 4 hours total or 4 hours per month, the rental fees are $20 per hour, we do not rent half hour increments.
For example, if your class or event is scheduled for 1.5 hours you would
need to rent the space for 2 hours. Set up and break down for events must
be included in the total rental time. Any rental over 4 hours or four hours total over a month is only $15 per hour. Events with 4 or more consecutive hours on the same day need to
be reserved 4 weeks in advance with a 50% non-refundable deposit received 14 days prior
to the event date. Paradise Tango accepts cash, check and credit card
payments.
Damage
Renters are responsible for any and all damages to Paradise Tango property
including, but not limited to, the dance floor and the glassless mirrors.
FLOOR: The floor can be
damaged if allowed to be wet by spilled water, drinks or sweat. We ask
that renters be conscious of any and all water on the floor and make sure
to use the mop or paper towels provided to keep our floor happy. By signing
the rental agreement renters agree to financially cover any repairs to
the floor if damaged during the rental time. MIRRORS:
The mirrors are glassless and made out of fabric. Thus,
while the mirrors are very light, they are fragile and can be scratched,
punctured or torn. By signing the rental agreement they agree to replace
any mirror panels ($770 per panel plus shipping) damaged during the rental
time.
